RoboCup

The RoboCup Federation was founded with the goal of developing a team of fully autonomous humanoid robot soccer players that can comply with the official rules of FIFA, and win a game against the winner of the most recent World Cup. RoboCup leagues range from rescue robotics for primary school students, through advanced humanoid robotics at the PhD level. Each league is designed to guide students toward solving difficult problems in the field of robotics. MathWorks supports this goal by providing tools for students competing in any of the RoboCup leagues. Students can take advantage of MATLAB, Simulink, and the Robotics Systems Toolbox for Model-Based Design to develop algorithms quickly, and iterate hardware designs in simulation before, during, and after the hardware build phases.
