Overview
This webinar presents a comprehensive walkthrough of RF front-end design using MATLAB® and Simulink®, showcasing the full signal path from antenna to digital bits. Attendees will follow the design process of modeling a MIMO transmitter system—starting with RF budget analysis and progressing through antenna and array design, beamforming, and PCB power divider integration. The session demonstrates how to build and simulate RF chains both interactively and programmatically, analyze antenna performance, and implement beamsteering using phased arrays.
Each design stage is supported by system-level simulations that incorporate real-world effects such as impedance mismatches, coupling, and non-linearities.
The webinar culminates in a 5G signal simulation using a standard-compliant 3GPP FR2 waveform, integrating the RF system into a MATLAB testbench to measure key performance metrics like EVM and PAPR. Participants will gain insights into how MATLAB tools streamline the design and verification of complex RF systems—from initial concept to final validation.
