MathWorks is the world leader in technical computing, system simulation and embedded code generation tools. We are seeking an engineer with a passion for Model-Based Design, especially for Model-in-the-Loop Simulation, Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation, Rapid Contrpl Prototyping to join our Consulting Services team. In this role you will lead our customers in using MATLAB and associated tools to establish effective simulation environments. Simulation includes multi-domain physical modeling - for a wide range of industries, including automotive, aerospace, and industrial machinery.  The location for this position is in MathWorks’ office in Tokyo.

Mission

  • Lead customers in a variety of engineering disciplines by utilizing a wide range of technical expertise and application of MATLAB 
  • Engage with customers to set project goals and plans, and provide effective technical support to accelerate their development
  • Support multi-domain physical modeling including thermal, fluid, and mechanical areas
  • Planning and organizing the resources to successfully complete projects 
  • Interact directly with MATLAB development team to resolve tough customer issues and identify new product features 
  • Opportunities to work with customers closely 

Qualifications minimales

  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Qualifications supplémentaires

  • Solid engineering skills in thermal, fluid, and mechanical areas  
  • Solid working knowledge in multi-domain physical modeling. 
  • Experience using Simulink, Stateflow and/or Simscape
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English
  • Flexibility to work on multiple projects with ability to multi-tasks

 

Nice to have

  • Experience with a broad set of MathWorks products 
  • Experience with electrification and cooling system
  • Experience using Speedgoat and/or third party real-time simulation system
