Description

The Apple Hill scene is a 3D environment of the MathWorks^® Apple Hill campus in Natick, Massachusetts. The scene is rendered with Unreal Engine^®.

Setup

To use the Apple Hill scene:

1. Check which scenes are installed on your local machine.

   sim3d.maps.Map.local

2. If the table does not contain "Apple Hill", then download the scene from the map server.

   sim3d.maps.Map.download("Apple Hill")

3. Add a Simulation 3D Scene Configuration block to your Simulink^® model.

4. In the Block Parameters dialog box, set the Scene source parameter to Default Scenes.

5. Set the Scene name parameter to Apple Hill.

Layout

The Apple Hill scene coordinate directions align with positive X pointing North and positive Y pointing East. Blocks in the Aerospace Simulation 3D library require dimensions in meters. For convenience, this section also provides dimensions in feet.

Tips

• When you select the Apple Hill scene from the Default Scenes list in the Simulation 3D Scene Configuration block, the Simulation 3D pack blocks synchronize with the NED input coordinate frame.

• The Aerospace Blockset™ Interface for Unreal Engine Projects support package is required to use this scene. You can also modify this scene.
