Transport Properties Sensor (MA) block

To add a block to a model, double-click the canvas and start typing the block name. Then, select the block from the list.

Description

The Transport Properties Sensor (MA) block represents an ideal sensor that measures the dynamic and kinematic viscosity, thermal conductivity, and Prandtl number in a moist air network. There is no mass or energy flow through the sensor.

The block measures these properties at the node connected to port A.

A — Sensor inlet

Moist air conserving port. Connect this port to the node in the moist air network where you want to measure the transport properties. All measurements are taken with respect to absolute zero.

Dynamic viscosity — Control output port visibility to measure dynamic viscosity

On (default) | Off

Select this check box to expose output port μ, which measures the dynamic viscosity.

Programmatic Use

Kinematic viscosity — Control output port visibility to measure kinematic viscosity

Off (default) | On

Select this check box to expose output port ν, which measures the kinematic viscosity.

Thermal conductivity — Control output port visibility to measure thermal conductivity

Off (default) | On

Select this check box to expose output port k, which measures the thermal conductivity.

Prandtl number — Control output port visibility to measure Prandtl number

Off (default) | On

Select this check box to expose output port Pr, which measures the Prandtl number.
