How to speed up matlab?

Hi guys,

How are you all? Hope, you're all well. I use 2 releases of matlab on my pc. they are R2010a and R2013a. I install them on 2 different drives. Most of the time I use R2013a. But it takes about 2-5 minutes to open the software after I click on it. Do you've have any ideas that can speed up my matlab? Any suggestions are appreciated.

That sounds excessive? What are the specs of your computer? Do you have other things running at the same time?

Get a faster computer, one with faster drives, faster access to those drives, etc. Without knowing the specs on your machine, how can anyone offer better advice?
