The error is originated from your data X that does not present appropriate data format for imagesc(). Could you pl., upload your sample data?

Ran in:
Your data array type is not quite clear from your provided snapshot. If your data is as shown in the snapshot and then imagesc() should work ok. Please check your data array type. See this simple example:
G = rand(12, 20); imagesc(G), shg
