How to calculate histogram of binary patterns for image registration?

I'm planning to register two images using my own feature descriptors. For similarity measure, I need feature vectors of fixed and moving images. My question is, how to obtain the feature vector from the histogram of my feature descriptor?
Kindly provide the detailed analysis, if possible. Thanks, forum MathWorks.
