I want to deconvolute an image that I know to be out of focus and am wondering if anybody knows what a good point spread function is for that.

@Signal Express, what does this mean to you " I have determined the resolution". Usually, to most everyone else, it means that you have mapped out your contrast at varying bar spacings to get the MTF. Then you have defined some value of MTF that defines resolution for you, like the 10% or 50% point of the peak MTF.
I don't know what MSF is.
You can google "PSF from MTF" and find lots of discussions on how to do it.

@Image Analyst: Sir, when I say I have determined the resolution, I mean just by observing the USAF chart element that remain distinct and do not blur together when the chart's centre is expanded. I guess that be defined in linepairs per mm.

There is no single point spread function for that purpose.
deblurring is often handled using a gaussian, and there are ways to tune the parameter of the gaussian, but there is no one parameter that is "best" for all situations.
