I have data that are 6720 rows in one column (D) with either the value "oddball" or "standard". I want ot make a new table(X) with 1 if in the same row is oddball and 0 if it is standard. I have had trouble with the if statement. for j=1:6720 if tf(j,1)=='Oddball' X3(j,1)==1 else X3(j,1)==0 end I want to presserve the sequence of the data.
