please i need help ..
i need to update part .we updated it to show only the biggest size frame or figure because it was show group of figures but we need code to detect eye only or detect mouth only.
please i need reply quickly .
thank you....

% by Yu-Tang Pai, Shanq-Jang Ruan, Mon-Chau Shie, Yi-Chi Liu

% Minumum face size constraint
% Adaptive theta thresholding (Theta is threshold ed by mean2(theta)/4
% Parameters are modified by to detect better. Please check the paper for
% parameters they propose.

% usage:
% I=double(imread('c:\Data\girl1.jpg'));
% detect_face(I);
% The function will display the bounding box if a face is found.
% Notes: This algorithm is very primitive and doesn't work in real life.

% people need such kind of algorithms. However this one doesn't perform so

Please format your code properly if you want somebody to read it. Mark it and hit the "{} Code" button.
It would a great favor for the forum, and for me if you could explain, why you did not format the code. Are the explanations how to post in this forum not clear enough? Where could this be improved? Please note, that you are about the 400th person asked for code formatting. There must be a better solution.
I have deleted the duplicate post. Please care for posting a questions once only.

No one knows why Tolga Birdal's implementation of the paper: "A simple and accurate face detection algorithm in complex background" by Yu-Tang Pai, Shanq-Jang Ruan, Mon-Chau Shie, Yi-Chi Liu is "very primitive and doesn't work in real life" and "doesn't perform so well". Perhaps you should ask Tolga or try to write your own implementation. You say "if I implemented it correctly." Unfortunately I don't have time to read the paper and understand it and compare the code to the algorithm in the paper to see if it was implemented correctly. If you think you, or Tolga, did, then maybe you need to find another algorithm. You can look here:
MATLAB has face recognition in the Computer Vision Toolbox http://www.mathworks.com/products/computer-vision/description4.html. Once you have the faces, then maybe you can find another algorithm in the vision bibliography link above to find the eye(s) or mouth.
