Import and show in live editor .fig file

Is it possible to import an existing matlab figure to the live editor?

For other formats I know I can use something like:

corn_gray = imread('corn.tif',3);
imshow(corn_gray)

Only if the fig is storing a uifigure instead of a traditional figure I suspect . Even then parts of the fig would have to be imported rather than the whole fig

In my case it is just multiple plots. I had suspected that if it was possible, it would be quicker to load the figure than to run the creation code again (as it requires that multiple files are opened to gather the values). In this case, according to your comment, it would not be possible.

Either way, how would you do it if it was a uifigure?
