How to transform a sound signal (then it only has one dimension) using Karhunen-Loeve transformation in MATLAB?

I tried to find the example of Karhunen-Loeve Transformation in MATLAB but only get the transformation that is used for image processing. I need to transform a sound signal using it and then I will use an octave filter bank to get some desire signal with certain power.
