How to merge multiple cells within a table?

I have created a table in Excel sheets, but now I wanto to create similar table in MATLAB. Can you please help me to guide how to merge cells of a table,
just like I did in first row and first column of below table (For naming purpose)?Capture.PNG

MATLAB is not a spreadsheet. No can do.
