latency in displaying image when starting the GUI

Hello everyone,

I build a gui in matlb that displays some images, however, there is a latency in diplaying these images.

when i start the GUI it opens the window, shows the original axes with the white background for a second, then it renders the images.

i don't know if the problem from my computer or the software itself. i want the image to be shown with the window opening without any latency.

How can i fix that?

What are you using to build the gui? GUIDE? If so, could you post the code?

Latency could be caused by any number of things, but in the absense of any other information I think image size is the most likely culprit. Even if you open an image using the default system application (e.g., on Win10 it would be the "Photos" app), there is usually some degree of latency and it can be up to several seconds for very large files.
