the electrical model of a wind turbine is being designed using a AC voltage source along with a rectifier. the system output will be varying as the windspeed wont be constant all the time. in order to maintain the DC bus voltage to 5v the PWM control is being applied to the DC to DC boost converter. As the micro wind turbine uses a small motor and we can expect onlya few volts from its output. thats why we choose the boost converter as the DC converter circuit.
