4-Way 3-Position Valve Parameterization

This example shows how to parameterize and test a 4-way 3-position valve with a test harness. A plot script is provided with the example for comparing output flow between the block and data to verify the test harness. A live script is also provided with this example to explain the parameterization and the test harness workflow in detail.

Model

The following figure shows a 4-way 3-position valve test harness. The Pressure Source (IL) blocks; with Ramp blocks are used to create pressure boundaries for the directional control valve. The spool displacement is provided using a Constant block.

Simulation results from Simscape™ logging

The model test harness is parameterized for the positive and the negative spool positions and the simulated output is compared with the parameterization setting.
