How to make the attachment like simulation on MATLAB...I can not find how they have done this

I am trying to simulate a controller for collision avoidance for automobiles...inputs are velocity,distance & co-efficient of friction....II want to make a virtual ROAD & CAR ENVIRONMENT for simulating my controller....HOW I can make this on MATLAB

I have found papers related to my work..But can not find out how they have done it in MATLAB.

Actually I do not know the procedure HOW TO DO IT...some people has told me to use simMechanics...I am still trying......
