How do I find an object in a picture? PLEASE

Please help me with a code sequence for identifying objects in a picture containing several objects. I have attached below the camera image and an image of an object that I want to identify it.

Try normxcorr2() in the Image Processing Toolbox. It would probably work if you did it just on the green channel alone.

If I gave you code, you'd still have to learn MATLAB. Try Chandra's link where he gave some nice code to do normxcorr2().
