Is there any low cost tablet which could effectively run matlab ?

just need a tablet which could run MATLAB and required associated s/ws.

I have the same question and unfortunately the answer is NO.. Microsoft Surface Pro is the only answer I know but it cost £719.00 starting

MATLAB runs on Linux, Mac OSX or Windows.
I believe there are some "tablet" notebooks on the market that have a touch-screen surface you can use, but they are running one of the above operating systems. But they are essentially notebook computers and not a tablet a la the iPad.
There is also MATLAB Mobile and the MATLAB Connector, which currently run on iOS, but they connect to a MATLAB that runs on a machine running one of the three operating systems I've already mentioned.

In addition to Jason's note, MATLAB Mobile 3.1 has a dedicated iPad app that enables you to connect to the MathWorks Cloud, or to a desktop instance of MATLAB.

I thought the Surface Pro used a non-x86 CPU series? Or was that the non-PRO version ?
