Code Generation problem (no simulation mode)

Hi all,

I am learning HIL with matlab guide. In the section Connect matlab to an executable app, it said that the Simulation mode should be set to external. But on my 2019 version, I cannot find the 'Simulation Mode' with an option 'external' in the list. Anyone can help me with that?

Have you installed any support packages for particular target hardware?

Hi,

I did not install any 3rd party addons.But in the guide, there is no information on that any other addons should be installed before it started. And the example, I think, is to connect the simulink in matlab environment to the exe file outside Matlab but still on the host laptop.
