digital pid parameters design

Hi Good Evening

I am Manoj.

I am going to design a PID microcontroller based temperature controller AT89C51. My idea: Temp. sensor -> A/D --> microcontroller -> set point comparison and pid C code algorithm -> algorithm controls firing pulses to triac through a programmed timer connected to gate of triac through 1 pin of uC(microcontroller)-> 1KW heater -> Feedback is taken through temperature sensor.

Now,i want to calculate kp,kd,ki parameters of digital PID ALGORITHM and test it. However,i don't have system function to tune it like:

" i/p -> PID -> system function -> feedback loop "

since it is a digital controller with microcontroller.

Kindly guide me in this regard.

Are you using Matlab OR any matlab product for your PID controller design?
