Hombrechtikon Systems Engineering AG (HSE•AG) is an ISO 13485:2016 certified developer of laboratory automation systems. We provide engineering services for implementing technologies in genomics, proteomics, and cell analysis techniques, offering solutions for all stages of product development.

We visualize, analyze, and root cause instrument development using data analytics and statistics. We improve custom workflows and establish models for instruments and biological and physical processes. We do instrument work-deck and object recognition by computer vision for laboratory robots. We conduct feasibility studies in life sciences and instrument development for internal or external customers.

Previous Customer Projects

• Algorithm pipeline for primary analysis (PA) for a next generation sequencer (NGS) completely in MATLAB using multi-core processor architecture and the Parallel Computing Toolbox to fully utilize available cores and memory.
• Run Evaluation Tool framework to generate structured reports to summarize KPIs and support root causing and tracking of instrument development changes
• Improved customer algorithms for image focusing
• Equivalence proof analysis of chemical and physical temperature measurements in PCR device by data science analysis
• Task force support for international bioinformatics team for non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT)
