- Cutting-edge research into numerical methods for reservoir simulation
- Expertise in hydrocarbon, CCS, and geothermal simulation
- Implementation of custom features in MRST for reservoir simulation
Description
As the creators and primary developers of MRST (MATLAB Reservoir Simulation Toolbox), SINTEF Digital can provide specialist support for users running complex simulations in MRST. This includes setting up and running simulations using current functionality and implementing new features required for specific applications and models.
SINTEF has over 20 years’ experience in research and development of numerical methods for simulating flow in porous media. They can provide cutting-edge research consultancy for reservoir simulation applications including, but not limited to, hydrocarbons, CCS, hydrogen storage, and geothermal energy.
They also have expertise in physics-based electrochemical simulation using their BattMo modeling software, which is based on MRST.
SINTEF’s open-source reservoir simulation toolbox is written primarily in MATLAB®. MRST is the tool they use for researching and developing new methods in numerical reservoir simulation for various applications. Their research consultancy work revolves around helping clients use the software for their own simulation needs, including developing new features if needed. SINTEF has used MATLAB extensively and has detailed knowledge of how best to use it for their purposes and for writing optimized code.
