Raspberry Pi Programming using Simulink

Project-based learning is an effective way to engage students in learning engineering concepts related to control systems, robotics, audio  processing, computer vision applications, and more.

This webinar will show how you can easily and quickly program a Raspberry Pi using Simulink.  We will start by showing how you can download and set-up the free Simulink Support Package for Raspberry Pi Hardware.  Then we will demonstrate how to use the new Raspberry Pi Simulink blocks to access a webcam and run a color detection algorithm natively on the Raspberry Pi.

Please allow approximately 60 minutes to attend the presentation and Q&A session.

About the Presenter: Brian McKay is a member of the Product Marketing team at MathWorks focused on Simulink connectivity with low-cost hardware.   Brian holds a B.S and M. S. in General Engineering with specialization in controls systems, from the University of Illinois @ Urbana-Champaign.  He has been at MathWorks for 8 years, working with various real-time simulation and testing solutions.  Prior to joining MathWorks, Brian spent 12 years in the Automotive industry working on projects implementing electronic controls on diverse vehicles including off-road construction vehicles, open-wheel racecars and fuel cell prototypes.
