Developing Autonomous Systems: Perception Algorithms

Overview

Whether your robot flies, drives, swims, or manipulates, algorithms that turn sensor data into self-awareness and situational awareness will be a critical component of any autonomous system. In this webinar, you will learn how to design, implement, and test a variety of these algorithms – all using MATLAB and Simulink.

Highlights

  • Collecting and processing real and simulated data in MATLAB
  • Applications of data for autonomy, including object/obstacle detection using AI, object tracking, sensor fusion for localization, and mapping
  • Testing and deployment of perception algorithms

Please note: this series is a rerun for India time zone and will be hosted by India-based engineers.

About the Presenter

Richa Singh is an Application Engineer at MathWorks India, specializing in autonomous systems development for Aerospace, Defense, Robotics, and UAV applications. She collaborates with industry leaders to accelerate the development of perception, navigation, guidance, and control algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink.

Her work focuses on model-based design workflows for autonomous systems, including system modeling, sensor fusion, tracking, control development, and embedded deployment. Richa holds a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay, with a specialization in Dynamics and Control.
