Application Engineer - Polyspace

Do you have expertise in embedded code verification and validation, testing methodologies, and software certification standards like IEC 61508, ISO 26262, DO-178, and enjoy working with customers? In this customer-facing role, your goal is to enable our customers to realize the value of our software verification solutions through deep technical engagements, product evaluations, and demonstrations at meetings and seminars. Your objective is to align our solutions with the customer’s needs and foster the customer’s success. Strong technical knowledge and interpersonal skills are vital for success in this role. 

Mission

  • Analyzing customer requirements, effectively communicating possible technical solutions, and deploying solutions in customer workflows and pipelines.
  • Guiding Polyspace product evaluations, creating proof of concepts, and building successful technical sales strategies. Conducting product presentations for individual customers, at public seminars or trade shows.
  • Developing demonstration programs and application examples that illustrate how the capabilities of MathWorks software fit to our customers’ needs. Identifying new business areas by conducting market and account research

Qualifications minimales

  • A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Qualifications supplémentaires

  • Proficiency with Agile software development
  • Knowledge of unit testing
  • Experience with embedded systems development, verification, and test.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills for microcontrollers, DSPs, or similar.
  • Experience with automatic code generation, SW unit/integration testing, Test-Driven Development (TDD), static code analysis and agile/DevOps principles is a plus.
  • Experience in using scripting languages such as MATLAB, python or perl is a plus.
  • Profound knowledge in one or more areas is a plus: control design for dynamic systems, basic software (BSW) and RTOS, hardware and electronics design.
  • Some knowledge in one or more of the following industry standards (e.g. AUTOSAR, MISRA-C, CERT-C, AUTOSAR, ISO SAE 21434, ISO 26262, DO-178C, IEC 61508, IEC 62304, etc.) and engineering workflows is a plus (e.g. V-Model, SCRUM, ASPICE, CMMI, etc.)
  • Basic experience in development tools (e.g. Jira, Bamboo, Kubernetes, Gerrit, Git, SVN, DOORS, Jenkins, SCADE, Polyspace, QA-C, Lint, VectorCast, LDRA, etc.) is a plus.
  • This position is based in Bangalore with travel generally throughout India for various customer visits and seminars. Travel time can be expected to amount to approximately 30-40% with trips generally no longer than five days. Though far less frequent, some international travel is expected.
