Engineering Technical Writers at MathWorks develop content that helps users solve engineering challenges. A successful candidate begins their career in the Engineering Development Group (EDG). As a member of the EDG team, you will receive extensive training, mentoring, and coaching that enables you to transition to the Engineering Technical Writer role within the Documentation Organization.  

Mission

As an Engineering Technical Writer, you will: 

  • Create clear and concise documentationto help customers effectivelyutilize the software.
  • Demonstrate features, workflows, and applications with goal-oriented topics and examples for our customers.
  • Build product and technical knowledge by researching the technical domain and customer workflows to support our customers and respond to inquiries. 
  • Review and respond to product developments, providing industry insights and participating in prototype testing to enhance user experience. 
  • Lead through initiative, process improvements, and mentorship, fostering growth and efficiency within the team. 

Qualifications minimales

  • A bachelor's degree is required.

Qualifications supplémentaires

  • Bachelors degree with 0-2 years of relevant work experience or Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science Engineering or other Engineering field is preferred.
  • Good programming skills in one or more Object-Oriented Programming languages (ex: MATLAB, Python, C / C++). 
  • Strong communication and planning skills. 
  • Ability to quickly learn and explain engineering procedures and concepts. 

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge in Computer Vision and Deep Learning, Autonomous Systems, Wireless Communication, or Control Systems.
