Compute phased array design parameters

Since R2026b

    Description

    solve(obj,freq) computes the phased array design parameters such as element spacing, number of elements, directivity, grating lobes, and sidelobe characteristics based on the specified frequency and object properties, and returns summarized input, design, and sidelobe data.

    example

    s = solve(obj,freq) computes the phased array design parameters such as element spacing, number of elements, directivity, grating lobes, and sidelobe characteristics based on the specified frequency and object properties, and returns summarized design data table.

    [desData,lobeData,inptData] = solve(obj,freq) computes the phased array design parameters such as element spacing, number of elements, directivity, grating lobes, and sidelobe characteristics based on the specified frequency and object properties, and returns summarized design, sidelobe, and input data tables stored individually in three tables.

    Define the target parameters for the square phased array of dipole antennas. Calculate the design parameters for the phased array at 70 MHz.

    p = phasedArrayCalculator(RadiatingElement="dipole",...
        ArrayGain=20,...
        ElementEfficiency=90,...
        TaperLoss=0.5,...
        ScanAngle=10,...
        AntennaLoss=1,...
        ImplementationMargin=1);
