Cpp.NumberLiteral Class
Namespace: Cpp
Superclasses: AstNodeProperties
Represents the number_literal nodes in the syntax tree of your code
Since R2026a
Description
The PQL class Cpp.NumberLiteral represents the node number_literal in the syntax tree of your code.
void test_numbers() {
int a = 42;
double b = 3.14;
long c = 0xFF;
}The code shows three number literal tokens 42, 3.14, and 0xFF which correspond to number_literal nodes and are represented by Cpp.NumberLiteral in PQL.
Predicates
| Type | Raisable | Printable |
|---|---|---|
NumberLiteral
| Yes | No |
This class defines these predicates that act on the objects of this class. In addition, objects of this class can access the predicates defined by the base class AstNodeProperties. An object of this class is an object of AstNodeProperties class.
| Predicates | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
is(required Cpp.NumberLiteral &lit)
| Checks whether a syntax node is a number_literal and binds
that number_literal to the output variable. Use this to directly
match numeric literal tokens. | This PQL defect checks for defect number_literal_is_demo =
when
Cpp.NumberLiteral.is(&nl)
and nl.nodeText(&txt)
raise "Found numeric literal: \"{txt}\""
on nlIn this C++ code the defect finds literal tokens such as integer, floating, and hex literals.
#include <iostream>
int main() {
int x = 42;
double y = 3.14;
long z = 0xFF;
(void)x; (void)y; (void)z;
return 0;
} |
cast(Cpp.Node.Node node, required Cpp.NumberLiteral &cast)
| Checks if a given generic Node is a
number_literal and binds the number_literal
to the output variable. Use this to verify a node obtained as
Cpp.Node is specifically a number literal. | This PQL defect checks for a defect number_literal_cast_demo =
when
Cpp.Declaration.is(&decl)
and decl.getADescendant(&nodes)
and Cpp.NumberLiteral.cast(nodes, &castNl)
and castNl.nodeText(&txt)
raise "Cast to NumberLiteral succeeded: \"{txt}\""
on castNlIn this C++ code the defect finds the number literals in declarations.
int main() {
int value = 100;
(void)value;
return 0;
} |
isa(Cpp.Node.Node node)
| Returns true when the provided Node is a
number_literal. Use isa when you need a
boolean test or want to negate the relation. | This PQL defect checks for a defect number_literal_isa_demo =
when
Cpp.Declaration.is(&decl)
and decl.getADescendant(&nodes)
and Cpp.NumberLiteral.isa(nodes)
and nodes.nodeText(&txt)
raise "isa confirms number literal: \"{txt}\""
on nodesIn this C++ code the defect finds the number literals in declarations.
int main() {
int value = 100;
(void)value;
return 0;
} |
