how to find wavelet transformation of a discrete signal

hi all i want to know to calculate wavelet transformation of a signal which is in terms of a listing file.i dont understand that which function i have to use regarding wavelet transformation of a signal.please help me.....

The Wavelet Toolbox has many flavors of wavelet transform. You can obtain the following:

continuous wavelet transform critically sampled discrete wavelet transform dual-tree wavelet transform stationary wavelet transform

and even a wavelet packet transform
