Problem downloading data from yahoo using either the datafeed toolbox (dftool) and 'fetch' function

Using the dftool command or fetch function to access yahoo financial data for historical values are giving "No data return' and "Error using yahoo/fetch (line 314) Unable to return data for given security and date.", respectively.

There seems to be a problem with the date. That is, yahoo is not accepting the numerical date (datenum).

Any assistance most appreciated.

This only works for Windows. Is there a fix for Mac users as well?

I revised the instructions at that link so they will work for a Mac.
