Compatibility issue with Unit delay block R2012b

The release notes do state the updated Unit delay block with the change in the name of the initial condition parameter from 'X0' to 'InitialCondition'. But it does not mention that simulink by default replaces the value of the initial condition parameter to zero! This caused us unnecessary trouble with the issue coming up as bugs during testing. Anybody else with this problem? How to contact mathworks regarding this to add a compatibility issue warning in their documentation?
