Can somebody please help me detect an object using Principal Component Analysis?

The design challenge is to detect an object in a video using pca. Would i have to use image reconstruction method or some other classifier?I'm quite confused please if somebody could help me with it.

We're even more confused than you because we don't know what your video looks like. Could you share a frame from it and say what you want to find in it?
