Why do we need to compute power spectral density for eeg signal?

Hi everyone! I come from VietNam, I'm doing the thesis "detection of epilepsy by using network neural, DWT", but i dont understand why must compute PSD(power spectral density) and entropy, what does it have role? if you know or have documents,let's share for me, please!

The obvious answer is that the presence of epilepsy is indicated by peaks in the PSD in certain frequency intervals.
