save a uipanel to a pdf

I have a figure that has three uipanel: two of them contain buttons and a third one contains a plot with label. Is there a way to save only the uipanel with the plot? I've tried using saveas function with a handle to the uipanel but it still saves the entire figure. Is there a way to only save one uipanel of a figure?
