reading external data via usb

hi everybody I want to read data from tablet. in fact I want to read words that I write in a tablet and analyze the words in matlab. my tablet is connected to my computer via usb.
please help me what should I do? thanks

If you could indicate the manufacturer and model then we could look for documentation on the data transfer mechanism it uses.
