activation on ubuntu 64 bits

I follow the whole activation process and at the final step i get the succesful ativation message, but when i try to run MATLAB, i get re-directed to activation process again. I checked the license file and the license realy isn't activated. i think this problem may be related with the username of the machine, witch i activate as "root", like default. My license is a SNU academic version for ubuntu 64 bits. thanks,
