unrecognized functions or variable

hi all,
i am trying to import the function "onehotencode" since it is unrecognized function and can't find the documentation of it from command window.
could use some guidance please.

do you have the Deep Learning Toolbox installed and have a valid license for it?

You don't import a function into MATLAB. Perhaps you are thinking Python, or some similar environment.

It looks like onehotencode is supplied by The MathWorks, as part of this toolbox:

So the question is, do you have a license for that toolbox? If not, then you need to buy it. The Mathworks does not give them away. Do you have a MATLAB release that is new enough to offer that toolbox? If not, then you need to upgrade your MATLAB release.

yes that's the function i'm reffering and i do have Deep Learning Toolbox, that's why i don't understand why it isn't working and thought maybe i'm supposed to import it.
