Changing number of minor ticks between each integer

I currently have 4 minor ticks between each number, which is the go to number matlab uses unless otherwise specified. How do I change it to just 1 tick mark between each number?

Here is graph, notice on x-axis it has 4 minor tick marks.

Got it to work using this

a.XAxis.MinorTickValues = 1:0.5:10;
