Accessing Simscape Blocks Internal States

I’m trying to access the valve position of a 2P Thermostatic Expansion Valve from within my Simulink model. I know I can access the variable during post-processing through the logged opening_fraction data set, however I’d like to incorporate the percent opening directly into other code I have running in the model. Is it possible to directly access this internal state from within the model?

Hi Mike,
Unfortunately that would require access and modification to the source code of this block, which is not open as those in the foundation library. You need to either make your own block of TEV, or contact your MathWorks sale rep for your company/institute, and see if he/she could help get you connected with more resources on a customized version of this block.
