bought Matlab home edition +simulink +control systems toolbox + symbolic toolbox....stateflow ?

Hi all , I have bough Matlab home edition +Simulink +Control systems toolbox + Symbolic toolbox
I have a few questions
  1. can I buy later Stateflow toolbox ? (not enough money to buy them all LOL )
  2. I have Mathematica home edition. Can i use them both ? Ex: import .mat files in Mathematica
  3. if a new version of Matlab is released Ex: 2015 , and I want it... do I have to buy it again full price? What about the already purchased toolboxes? Will they work ?

  • I'm sure Sales is happy to answer Q1 and Q3.
  • MATLAB Home FAQ says Yes to Q1 and Full price to Q3. You better check that yourself.
  • WOLFRAM LANGUAGE IMPORT/EXPORT FORMAT says MAT (.mat), Import fully supports Versions 4 and 5 of the MAT format. When appropriate, numerical data is imported as SparseArray objects. and Export generates MAT 4 files. &nbsp Matlab still supports '-v4' Two-dimensional double, character, and sparse arrays., but not -v5 whatever that was.
  • " What about the already purchased toolboxes? Will they work ?" &nbsp AFAIK: The license says: NO
It's all on the net! Why do you want both?

I'm afraid you will be disappointed with The MathWorks. Use the link above to find out why.
AFAIK: The license says that MATLAB and toolboxes should belong to the same release.
Yes, over time it will be expensive to have the latest release of Home Edition together with a bounch of extra toolboxes. Thus, don't upgrade until there is a good reason. Most new releases add little of new features (YMMV).

but can i get new toolboxes who works with older versions of matlab ?
You better read the Matlab Home FAQ yourself.
My understanding is that you can buy toolboxes, which match your release of Matlab, i.e toolboxes for previous releases are available.
