error using load_nii_hdr

I am processing a nifti file (T2_map_1.nii) on R2021a using a home made function; there is an error when I get to this part of the code: onii=load_nii([p.fin '.nii']);

It gives the following error; Cannot find file "T2_map_1.nii.nii".
