How to design an algorithm to find the peaks of the histogram and implement it in MATLAB???

Dear all,

I would like to know how to could I design an algorithm to find the peaks of the histogram and implement it in MATLAB ??

The histogram of an image of gray levels is provided with the following :

Gray level 1  Gray level 2  Gray level 3  …  Gray level n
   Value 1       Value 2          Value 3        …  Value n

Where "Value k" indicates the number of pixels having gray level k. You are supposed to determine the peaks of this histogram. However, the local maxima due to minor differences in the number of pixels should not be considered.
