video acquisition

how to acquire a video from my olympus 10MP camera and slice the frames using matlab.

Live video, or a stored video? I don't know whether that camera is one of the ones that supports remote control, so I don't know if live video is possible. Stored video: connect the camera through USB, and the camera's storage will appear as a disk that can be navigated to find the appropriate file. I do not know at the moment which file format Olympus uses to store movies.

it is a ten megapixel camera.it saves the videos in *.avi format.
