Actually, I am trying to plot probability density function but bit of confused in the process of selection of mean and standard deviation values. I have seen some examples and found they have been selcted ramdomly. So, I just wanted to know the selection process is random or there is any spacific method.

The selection of mean and standard deviation when plotting a Probability Density Function (PDF) is not random if you’re working with actual data.
Feel free to go through the following documentations to calculate mean and standard deviation for your data:
If you're not working with actual data, it's appropriate to use reliable estimates for the mean and standard deviation.
For example, the average human body temperature is around 98.6°F (37°C) with a standard deviation of about 0.7°F, based on clinical research. Using such established values helps create a realistic and meaningful probability density function.
