.pbm format and creating diagrams via the data generated form the matlab program

I want to know that which programs could open the .pbm formats and where can I download them by free. the second thing I want to know is that I want to analyse the data from my programs. I should create diagrams; there is two ways: 1. I use matlab for this purpose 2. Use some programs like excel. I want to know how I can transfer data to excel from matlab.

Don't assume everybody knows what is .pbm file.

It would probably take several weeks to list all of the programs that can read Portable BitMap (.pbm) files and list where those programs could be downloaded for free. A more specific query would help.

MATLAB's imread() can read .pbm files without difficulty.

You can use xlswrite() to write data to .xls files, or .xlsx if you are using MS Windows and have an appropriate version of Excel installed.

If you are using MS Windows and have an appropriate version of Excel installed, you can use the COM interface to control Excel from MATLAB.

What kind of analysis are you thinking of doing on your binary images? Most people prefer to use grayscale images or color images, but those are not supported by the .pbm file format.

I wanted to graph the data and then feet a line to them; I figured out that I can do it via matlab; but thank you for your guidance.
