If your u(t) is a symbolic equation, use quad()
If your u(t) is numeric data, use cumsum()

Would you not use int() for symbolic equations ?

You are probably right. It looks like there are three int() functions, Symbolic integration, States from CIC filter, and Smallest built-in integer fitting stored integer value of fi object. I have none of them.
