Vector image export for Adobe Illustrator

I need to export my images into vector file format to be able to open on Adobe Illustrator. I tried all formats in the "save as". None of them worked. I saw another question asked in 2017, but it did not get a proper answer. How can I import a figure in vector format.

You can use the print function. The documentation lists the vector and bitmap file types. The save as function also supports vector file formats - see formattype

Thanks for the answer. It worked after saving as svg file and opening it in Adobe.

I think it is working for 2D figure images but not for 3D figures
