How to pull the directory information (or any other information) from a matlab script into python script.

Suppose I have any directory in my matlab script for example:

stat=’abc’;

I have another script using python. Command of the python script (xyz.py) is followed by:

system(python2 xyz.py)

My interest is to call the “stat” information from matlab scrpt to python script.

This will reduce my effort rather that putting directory information in my python script.
